Do you know the correct height that you're supposed to mow at to help prevent weeds?

I mow at 3 inches in Parker CO. using mulching blades and leave the clippings to decompose and enrich the soil under the turf. We have mostly clay and sandy soils here. Mostly Kentucky Bluegrass. The best defense against weeds is a thick healthy turf.
