(more) Because in the past the corporate world had no problem with budgeting their travel expenses for their employees, so they used a private car service.  Now, it is common for business clients to take UBER, because some company's now have a budget that don't allow for car service and want their employees who travel to use UBER, because it's less expensive and affordable.  I've seen it happen to my own corporate accounts.   You have to go with the flow.

You have to be flexible when changes happen with flight changes, cancellations, change in pickup day and locations. It happens and you go with the flow. Well, my first clients were actually my father's clients when my dad retired from the limo business. Also I went to businesses' to offer my services. Also, 18 years ago at the Pittsburgh Airport there were 8 Limousine Companies sharing a booth next to Yellow Cab. We all took turns when a... (more) Well, my first clients were actually my father's clients when my dad retired from the limo business. Also I went to businesses' to offer my services. Also, 18 years ago at the Pittsburgh Airport there were 8 Limousine Companies sharing a booth next to Yellow Cab. We all took turns when a potential customer came over and asked what are rates were and asked if one of our limo service could take them into Downtown Pittsburgh or other destinations. Once while I was talking to a client he asked me if I could make arrangements to pick him and other colleagues up to take them to and from the airport to the office or to set up reservations to pick them up every week. Which I did.

I make sure that my customers are satisfied with the service that I provide. I also go the extra mile if my customers need to go to the store on the way home from the airport or if there is an extra stop I don't charge them extra. Also when they are in my car they are family to me and me to them. I have some of my corporate and personal customers since I started 17 years ago.

Unfortunately I am not in the trucking industry and can't help you. I own a limo service in Pittsburgh and have down sized to one car. It's been hard, but I'm tough and hanging in there.
