I understand your struggle and I think I can help. Begin the new year with a new perspective about your art sales. Start with writing a business plan, complete with financial goals and a sound course of action to meet them. As artists, we are creative minds. Use your creativity to build an online business, then run it like a business! Carefully figure your cost of goods, your time involved and make sure you pay yourself! The future of commerce is online, true for every industry. Start with your Etsy shop, research every step to successful sales, learn what you don't know, follow the advice available and DO IT!
I have been a thriving artist since beginning my small biz about 10 yrs ago. ALL online! I rely on Etsy, my own website, social media and email marketing to generate sales and I get as much as I give. It wasn't easy or quick, but all worth it. I run it like a business and continue to grow and roll with the changes, year after year. And 2020 was a challenge, but in the end very profitable.
Selling your art online will provide a stable foundation of income. Like sitting down for dinner, online sales are the meat and your in-person sales (open studio, art shows and consignment) will be gravy!
With your talent, you will succeed!
