I have tried several FB ads and gotten views and "Likes". But, it's impossible to know what keywords to target to the right people.

We have never gotten a single inquiry for a photography session. I finally stopped the ads. It was throwing good money after

bad over and over. I kept thinking maybe this time would be the attention-getter. Nope! Just another waste of money.. for our business anyway. Maybe other types of businesses have deeper pockets than us and get responses to their advertising.

In this case " It's not the messenger, It's the message" Let me tell you what your challenge is. There are literally hundreds of photographers on FB with the words "Richard" or Richard" (I quit counting at over 400, there might even be thousands) So.. For starters: You need to come up with a memorable name for your business to differentiate yourself from the multitudes of "Richards" Your graphic representation of your work should be markedly different that the rest. From my experience t isn't always the amount of money you throw at the process, it's the message and how you articulate it. (I would that also you might consider putting your area of expertise in the headline of your message. I took a reasonable amount of time on FB and never found you. I hope this helps. Steve Crothers

Hey Richard,

There's a lot of factors that come into play with Facebook ads and the ads manager. If you simply hit that "Boost" button I will guarantee you that you will definitely throw your money away.

When creating a campaign, you first need to know who exactly you to target taking a look at your past customers. And if you state that you'll work with pretty much anyone, translating that over to your campaign in your ads manager will be of a high cost with your campaign. There will be a lot of testing to see which ad works, which audience will be relevant to your ad and so on and so forth. And you are able to stop an ad if it's not performing well without wasting your money by looking at all of the data in your ads manager.

I hope this makes sense, if you have any questions please feel free to message me!

Hi Richard, I came across your review and thought I'd offer some help.

Facebook can be confusing and even people who are veterans to Facebook ads hit a brick wall at times. Trust me I've been there. However, they really do work once you figure them out - I've seen tons of business owners forced to pause their campaigns because they have so many people booking appointments!

If you haven't had any opt ins it might be because your offer is not strong enough. Customers really need to me moved to act, so try putting yourself in their shoes. Think about this - If you yourself saw that ad on your news feed, would you be pushed to take action and learn more? If not, think about offering a giveaway or a major discount. Maybe give away a free mini session in exchange for names, emails and phone numbers. Make them feel like they have no choice but to hand over their information.

If you don't think you're offer is the problem, let me know. I'd be happy to take a look at your campaign or give some advice on how you can improve it.
