I believe offering a 10% discount on referral is a good way to generate new business. Not all customers will have the coupons given 6 months down the road to redeem for their next service. However it is the gesture that count and it extends a conversation. I find that if I offer to be helpful, it keeps me and my company in the mind of the customer. Just by being reachable and handing out a business card with a good contact number is a good practice.
