Don't think of your marketing strategy as getting in on the next big thing. Think about your ideal customer and target market strategies. Where do your customers lurk? Your customers may not be on social media platforms. Or they may be only on Facebook. There is a reason businesses still send out so much direct mail - because it still works in reaching their target market. Think about your buyer personas. If you nail who your customers are then you will know exactly where to spend your time and advertising dollars.
I am assuming your buyers would be primarily local. I would say send a press release to the local paper or radio station. Maybe contact the paper and ask if they have health and wellness section--maybe offer to do an article on the product and the benefits to people's health. Does your local...

Does your local area do any type of fairs like for emergency response or disaster drills? Get a booth for the event. Sponsor a local event. Team up with a local clinic ask them to hand out a flyer on your product. Start a blog.

What a waste of money. Do you really think that because someone greets you as you enter their store, you will become this loyal and repeat customer? Wouldn't a store with great prices, a store that is clean and organized and visually appealing, a store that has outstanding customer service, a store that their sales staff can answer questions, look up inventory, contact other stores on behalf of their customer
bring more people into your store? Spend your money on training staff to upsell and cross-sell merchandise and services. You will have a greater ROI. Here's what I think when someone greets me as I enter their store.
"I have a visual of your facial features, clothing, and height so that I can give a description to the police if you try to steal something. I'm watching you as you enter to see what you are carrying; so, that I know if you are carrying an oversized purse or backpack, I will need to keep my eye on you so that you don't hide merchandise in them".
If you follow me around whether its to make sure I don't steal anything or just to be close by in case I have a question, I will leave your store and never come back.

It wasn't over coffee but I did learn something interesting that has helped me be a better salesperson. After I got out of the military, I thought I could sell vacuum cleaners door to door. For those of you under 40, yes, carrying a heavy vacuum cleaner around with you and selling door to door was a thing. And you could make a pretty good living if you smart or so I thought. One day I knocked on the door of a man in his 70s. He told me he had sold ladies hosiery door to door. So he invited me in and let me demonstrate the vacuum. (I was young, blonde, blue-eyed female - you get the picture) Anyway, after the demonstration, he said I will never make a good salesman. Remember this was back when being politically correct wasn't a thing. So it was a salesman, not a salesperson. He said to me, kid, you don't have larceny in your blood. Excuse me! According to this man, he said a great salesman has to have a little bit of larceny in their blood. You have to be willing to take property (in this case money) from someone else and that most people don't want to give up with the intention of keeping it. He was right, I didn't. I would so easily let people off the hook if they gave me an excuse as to why they couldn't purchase the vacuum. After I left his house, I decided no more miss nice girl. I sold the next two homes I knocked at. No more miss nice girl.

Do you have a well thought out buyer persona and do you have a marketing strategy that reaches out to that segment of the population? Is your buyer personas longshoremen and truck drivers or grandmas and nuns? Although Sister Rose would share a spicy limerick once in a while, the line for each group is in a very different place. One test I rely upon is my mother. I think of her having a pretty good sense of humor and not too critical of anything or anyone. For me, if I can't say or show it to my mother, then I'm probably crossing the line.

Creating content for social media is a time-consuming endeavor. I believe it better to not start a blog if you can't commit to at least once a week. I would start with one platform. I would say instagram is the platform to start. but I believe first, you need to understand your customer. Interview your current customers. Get a sense for what motivates them to try mediation. Create a buyer persona for your ideal customer. Find out where your ideal customer lives(not literally of course). I would maybe contact personal trainers and do a two for one deal. Have the personal trainer let his customers know that you are offering a free session or a discount. You do the same for them. Sign up with a community learning center in your area to do a couple of free sessions for the community. Community learning centers typically send out a quarterly pamphlet to advertise their classes. Go to senior community centers and offer to do classes. Word of Mouth will spread.
I think technically yes. A good real estate agent should be able to demonstrate their value at the initial meeting with the seller. The sellers should never have a doubt about paying the 6% commission when they get up from the table. Confusion and misunderstanding lead sellers to believe they...

I think technically yes. A good real estate agent should be able to demonstrate their value at the initial meeting with the seller. The sellers should never have a doubt about paying the 6% commission when they get up from the table. Confusion and misunderstanding lead sellers to believe they cut corners and still sell for top dollar. Communicating your value as a top realtor and the strength and backing of your broker is key.

It is probably time to move on to an organization that will find your skills valuable. But don't burn any bridges. First, look at job boards and carefully research the company or companies you want to target. Use the internet to research what is the salary range based on your education and experience for that industry. If you don't want a pay gap, know what the salary range is for a job and know what you are worth. Be strategic and don't jump too quick. Certainly, update your resume. Let friends and family know you are looking. Take a day off and go to a trade conference for that industry. Gather your facts, you are in this to win.

I have a recruitment and human resources background prior to becoming an entrepreneur. I have a completely different take I suppose. There is a larger pool of candidates than a business might believe there are. If you want to increase your pool of qualified candidates, your first have to believe in diversity. Then you have to look at your job description. Are you requiring a bachelor or masters for a job that requires answering a phone and filing? Really, an administrative assistant needs a bachelor degree. I can go on the internet and look at job postings and most will say bachelor's degree required or preferred. Are you looking for a diverse pool? You have to market your job where candidates are, not just on your own website or indeed.com. There are many job boards out there. How about growing your own pool of candidates with OJT(on the job training). You are not finding candidates because you are not looking.
