The VeggiDome is a patented, sustainable glass tabletop vegetable server that keeps veggies on the table and ready to eat for days. It took "out of the icebox" thinking for a dad to invent a way for his kids to eat healthier. Now the VeggiDome is available to you and your loved ones.

The VeggiDome

Imagine life using a simple consumer product to help:

. prevent heat disease, diabetes, cancers and other health issues alieviated by eating more plant-based foods.
. save the environment from unhealthy methane gases released by rotting produce in landfills.

The VeggiDome is made of three elements made of glass and one stainless steel piece.
1. glass bottom base plate - holds water from freshly washed veggies and summer fruits
2. stainless steel flat colander sits on the baseplate and - keeps veggies from sitting in water.
3. the handblown glass dome - holds produce and life-sustaining moisture.
4. the loose "cookie jar" lid - allows the vegetable growth hormone, ethylene to escape through the lid while keeping moisture in.

Duncan Burns invented the VeggieDome over a decade of experimenting because he wanted his kids to eat healthier.

I am truly touched by this story and empathize. When I was forced to keep my own health matters private, I felt I was not being my authentic self... I felt like a phony. In this case... the business of running a nonprofit demands transparency. You must work with your board of directors to develop... (more) I am truly touched by this story and empathize. When I was forced to keep my own health matters private, I felt I was not being my authentic self... I felt like a phony. In this case... the business of running a nonprofit demands transparency. You must work with your board of directors to develop a comprehensive succession plan. Even if you were not ill, a succession plan must be in place to be fair to your donors and every stakeholder. I cannot state this more emphatically.  A nonprofit must be administered just like any other business. If a donor finds out you are ill and feels misled, it could result in that donor or more disengaging from the good work you are doing...  Good luck... follow your doctors orders and join a support group. Your alignable  network is right here as well.

Productive relationships are built by strategically choosing which networks are most important to achieve your long and short term goals. Prior to a networking event, set your expectations. Research who will be in the room and reach out to them to let them know you will be there. If a mutual... (more) Productive relationships are built by strategically choosing which networks are most important to achieve your long and short term goals. Prior to a networking event, set your expectations. Research who will be in the room and reach out to them to let them know you will be there. If a mutual connection can introduce you to a key decision-maker, all the better. However, do not discount introductions to lower level staff... they are the gatekeepers you want to support your ideas. Place your name tag on the right just beneath your shoulder. This is where eyes will land when you reach out to shake someone’s hand. Practice your listening skills for optimal engagement. Offer something that person wants and needs... an introduction, a resource, etc. Happy Networking!
