Way too much brain damage and stress. Been there. Blood will always trump outsiders, no matter how qualified they are. If it were me, I'd continue rolling with their system, pleasing all, while diligently searching for and landing a new employment opportunity. If I were to resign/quit then search, good chance I would not receive a truthful and unbiased past employment referral from this company. We all work hard at our jobs and careers. We can and should have fun and enjoy our jobs with our co-workers and our supervisors collaboratively, while continuing to strive for excellence, which in turn leads to opportunities for advances and bonuses. Just my 2 cent suggestion from my past experience. Mike

Your past experience as a firefighter and EMT could definitely land you a rewarding and lucrative career in the construction and or oil & gas industry as a consultant; Fire Watch, Hot Work, Safety Coordinator, Trainer and Certifier for SCBA, CPR. Pass on your experience and knowledge and get paid handsomely! And enjoy your woodworking as your hobby and side job. As a past GC in commercial and industrial construction for 30yrs, and 6 years in the energy sector, I can confidently say your expertise is in demand.
Just my 2 cents.
Cheers! Mike

Have you tried connecting up with fishing and hunting lodges outside of US? Canada/BC/NW Territories for sure. Brazil for Peacocks and the Amazon eco tours. Costa Rica fishing pacific and caribbean and eco tours. Mexico in my opinion is too easy and competitive to book packages. Alaska is also a good bet for hunting and fishing. I've fished and hunted in other countries for years, and the task of finding the best rate for air travel/lodging to and from point of outfitter pick-up and return is daunting and time consuming. Baby steps here, but could open the doors for bigger travel packages? This is a niche'. Just my 2 cents worth.
