Three generations of my family were collected by the Smithsonian for the permanent collection in 1999. An honor which no other family of artists has been given.
My grandfather, Frank Patania Sr. started this business in 1927 and grew his reputation on the plaza during the golden age of Santa Fe New Mexico. Collected by other artists, scientists,actors, authors and poets.
My dad, Frank Patania Jr, expanded the business to a national level by winning art competitions and receiving many commissions for his ecclesiastical work.
I, Sam Patania, took over in 1999 and have the passion to go national with my Patania Collection.
