About Us

Since 1954 Kent Heating and Air Conditioning has offered superior HVAC services to the Northwest Indiana region.

How We Got Started

Jim Kent started the business in 1954 because he was an entrepreneur at heart.
In fact, he installed the first central air conditioner in Valparaiso.

Allen Kent, Jim's son, began his full time career at Kent Heating and Air Conditioning in 1990. In 2018 he built the new corporate headquarters adjacent to the previous property.

In October of 2023 Glenn and Stacy Evans. employees of the company since 1993 and 1998 respectively, purchased the business following Allen's retirement.

Service businesses must have a COD policy; after all, you don’t leave the grocery store or restaurant without paying. Legal counsel should review the general conditions on the back of your contract form to ensure they are buttoned up tight. If a customer doesn’t pay and begins to “play” you, immediately take action because time and burdensome worry expended on your part is money-very expensive.
