Bains Travel was founded in 1951 in Victoria BC, and began primarily to serve the interests of immigrants who came from the Indian sub-continent. During the past 60+ years we have grown to encompass all of the aspects we associate with travel today.

Bains Travel opened back in 1951 when Kuldip Singh Bains who was a pillar in the community was asked to help recent immigrants and long time East Indian residents help find a way to get back to India. Things weren't so easy for the community back then so Kuldip was more than happy to help. Seeing an opportunity to create a business he decided to open the first travel agency who's primary role was to serve the Indian community.
