We Are A Painting Business that is located in Virginia Beach that specializes in Residential / Commercial Interior Painting. We also do exterior pressure cleaning. We have a great small team that specializes in custom residential painting for over 10 years.
How We Got Started
I have done marketing before opening All Day Painting and I wanted to see what it was like to be a business owner. I still do marketing and still help many people with that but my husband loves to paint and his pride is taking a room and bringing it to life with color.

I have found print (yellowpages and newspaper) reach a good demographic. I am also have a great ranking online. Print works best in season. These people usually have money and are more established and are 40 and up. Service industries work best. You should put all fishing poles out...

I have found internet and print to be people who want to buy. Everything else I do is branding.
Yelp, yp, bbb, superpages, angies list, thumbtack are all major fishing poles. They all are directories google looks as trusted. As with any sites reviews are huge and all help you get stronger for 1st page of google. Yelp is getting more traction lately but food establishment is huge. ...

Service is getting better and all these directories are improving as google shows the most trusted business. So to answer your question Yelp is a good site and if your service just work on reviews if your a food establishment it probably would pay to advertise. Reviews on all sites good website and listing claiming is the best. And yes Yelp is a good site.

The other thing is to tell all the other search engines who you are what you do and attach your website address. Customer reviews is like having conversations all over the internet. Probably the number 1 reason people will stop and call and consider you for work. Google also likes it because they want to bring back the very best business and when there are a lot of reviews everywhere google thinks your legit. So get them everywhere google, yelp, yp, Superpages and work your facebook page. Fresh content google will crawl and you always want to be adding information everywhere.
.I also noticed many times lately google on the map page is adding yelp, facebook yp. No reviews no calls. Lots of reviews everywhere lots of calls. Google is like a pond and the more fishing poles you put in water by claiming listings and getting reviews helps you rank. So a great site, listing claiming and many reviews will help and work facebook.

People use more than just google.. Reviews a good site and listing claiming will help you pull strong on line.

Yes! BBB is a great Accrediation to have but not for the reason you think. Google loves it and when you put it on your site it helps your rankings. Also if you optimize it helps market your business in other cities. My recommendation is yes yes yes but put a clickable link on your site and...

Yes! BBB is a great Accrediation to have but not for the reason you think. Google loves it and when you put it on your site it helps your rankings. Also if you optimize it helps market your business in other cities. My recommendation is yes yes yes but put a clickable link on your site and fill the profile out completely with as much content and catagories as possible. It is way cheaper than google adwords and gives you extra places to be found online.
