(more) One piece of advice I would tell myself 10 years ago, and constantly have to remind myself even now (especially in the tech field) is: don't forget the importance of human connection, even if it's not the most time-saving option. Yes, it's super easy to send a chat message or email to a client or coworker, but phone calls, face to face conversations, even handwritten notes/letters to clients, can hold more value even if they take more time out of your day. I especially believe followup is important as well: followup with that client or coworker. In the tech field specifically, followup to make sure their issue was resolved or they're satisfied with the product/service you sold them. Have conversations with the clients you're providing these products and services too, learn to listen to them, and explain things in layman's terms. Not using a ton of tech jargon helps make connecting with others a lot easier because sometimes tech jargon can make a person feel intimidated or challenge their intelligence. 😬

I may spend the day visiting a few brick and mortar, small businesses around our community, and spotlight the experience on our social media page.  (more) I may spend the day visiting a few brick and mortar, small businesses around our community, and spotlight the experience on our social media page.

Eric, you get what you pay for. We're a Dell Gold Partner and would be happy to find you something within your budget and provide ongoing maintenance to make sure it doesn't slow down again.  You need a proactive partner to make sure your technology works for you and your business. I was an Air Force Cyber Officer before starting my IT Consulting Business.  You're not safe but we used the term Defense in Depth so there are many layers of protection and more importantly training your staff and yourself.  Owners usually create the biggest issues by falling for phishing attempts. Standard range for Bluetooth is 30-33ft and brick/metal walls will affect signal attenuation.  Some Bluetooth are now rated at about 100ft. Standard DECT range is rated 300-350ft and as with any RF signal, walls will affect signal. In addition, if your Wi-Fi is on 2.4 GHz band and your cordless phone or other devices are also on 2.4 GHz bandwidth, you'll experience issues.  I'd recommend the SAVI 700 (DECT 350ft and connects to the Desk Phone, PC, Mobile Phone) or the Voyager Legend UC (Bluetooth 30ft connects to PC, Mobile Phone/Tablet and you can add the handset lifter for Desk Phone) Give our office a call to answer any further questions or get you into the right Plantronics headset.
