There Is LBB, BNI ( I belong to Flashpoint, but there are 5 in Lafayette), Awbo (for women only, but do allow 2 free meetings a year), Biz Tip, the chamber of commerce has 2 ribbon cuttings every Tuesday and Thursday, a monthly business after hours, and the small business of the month along with the ambassador meetings, all of which are free. The Chamber also has some low cost informational meetings that may have a low cost, but are worth it (the cost can be none if you decide to be a chamber member). There are many more, but my point is that the more people you meet, the more people will get to know you, and will be more willing to refer, or look for you when they need you. ALL of these are resources are out there for you, and not all will be a good fit. Do visit them all , and you never know who you might meet who could be your "Golden Goose" -they hide in the weirdest places ;)

And in reality your actions speak that money is more important than customer service. I think we need to get back to the old school ways ,and enjoy our job, and what we do and how we come across in what we do that how much money it brings to us. There's an element missing. Peace and happiness in the workforce. If you can find that I think we've captured the best part of working. That is one thing that cannot be purchased with money. That has to be found within you.
