I find many customers are unrealistic and learn along the way. 1 out of 5 customers are realistic and if they have a good experience they are keepers. You hope they become repeat customers. Once you have mastered a building type you find the market changes. First having experience in Malls and strip retail, then housing, then changes we segwayed into Restaurants and health clubs. There always seems to be a recession or Black Swan around the corner to cut your legs off. Stay nimble. If you have real estate experience you may have to give it away for free.

The answer to weather delays is to build modular. Most of the construction is built inside. When brought outside they are wrapped in plastic. Since the average house is set in a day or two, you can time the set when you have a few days of good weather. Of course just after the set it is important to complete the exterior siding and trim. Asphalt shingle roofs are done at the factory and fitted during the set. You don't have to settle for the ugly, bland modular designs by going to a builder or factory.
