I would, for sure. When marketing ones own company, your goal is to be unique. What is it that makes your company and/or services stand out from other competitors in the same field as you?  If you’ve defined that well for your own company, you don’t have to worry about the competition. Sometimes a competitor offers something that your company may not. why not give them a recommendation? It’s just good business to applaud when someone does something well. In my design business, I specialize in branding, packaging and identity. If another company specializes in web and mobile app development, why not give them a recommendation?  They may recommend me when branding or packaging is needed. It’s just good mojo. There’s plenty of work for everybody. Sharing is caring. It brings you good fortune.
