It's funny reading about networking .My husband has a le tip chapter .I know his group is 26 members. Every day he tells me he still can't find some basic professions.I emailed several people in this group .I never even got a response .Except a banker responded this week .I believe meeting the right people is key .I also see with this group you gain new clients fast .This is because everyone trys to use each others services .Why then can't I find an gift basket person ,a plumber and banker ?

Hi Lori,
When looking for businesses in my local area I use Nextdoor. I love that app for finding services. It's my neighbors who offer their opinions and everyone is verified to be actually living in my neighborhood.
I was able to develop a relationship with a hair stylist who hired me. We've become good friends and he refers business to me regularly.
If you don't use Nextdoor I'd definitely check it out.
Lori, a lot of people are just very short-sighted when it comes to networking. They are all gun-ho in it... but if they don't have the instant gratification of results, they have a tendency to lose interest pretty quickly. Too many business owners have "bright, shiny object syndrome" and bounce from idea to idea. And then, they wonder why their marketing results aren't delivering any type of ROI.
Nathan, I agree! I really like Nextdoor!
