It generally depends on the sponsorship type. If it's for a humane society or similar non-profit, I don't expect anything in return. If it's for a mutually beneficial business arrangement, depending on the dollar amount or items to sponsor, signage at the event is usually sufficient. There are many types and levels of sponsorship, whenever possible I like to exchange items for items. As an example, my company signage/logo could be featured in exchange for an auction item given. I find that people feel less taken advantage of when exchanging like for like, both come out feeling like they won on the deal. I have quite a few business relationships where we exchange referrals, with no dollar incentive, just send business to each other that best fits the needs of the customer. I know that's not sponsorship, but I find that type of relationship works well for sponsorships as well as business relationships. Just my two cents.

Thank you for putting this post together Everett. Word of mouth and referral work is normally the best kind of business. While any business can be good business, engagement is so much more fun and rewarding. I am the VP of Operations and Marketing for a serial entrepreneur. He owns multiple businesses, but the three of interest in this forum would be 1) a conference center and office space in Fort Lauderdale, FL (executivemeeings.com); 2) an automated communication software company (4persist.com), it calls, texts and emails prospects automatically while you just wait for someone to pick up; and, 3) a personal injury law firm in Sayville, NY, in business over 25 years (gacovinolake.com). If I can be of any service or you feel that you could use our space in Fort Lauderdale, please don't hesitate to contact me. I am always open to symbiotic business relationships. Thanks again Everett!

All very good responses, I particularly agree with John McCafferty from McCafferty Advertising LLC. Develop a relationship. And, you should have levels of giveaways for different people. There are many at tradeshows that will stop by to just get giveaways, those are the items you have out; pens, chapstick, hand sanitizer, etc. Small cheap items. Upon qualifying a prospect or one that shows interest, give them a nicer giveaway (more expensive) like a USB drive or purse holder with a logo on it. And, finally, the 'drawing giveaway', its a good list builder, but I would put some minor restrictions on the giveaway so you only get qualified leads. Perhaps, 'watch a 5-minute demo and receive an entry into the drawing for an iPad', 'refer a friend who also watches and you receive an additional entry'. Gamify the drawing, make it digital and please, please make sure you market this campaign a few months before the tradeshow, during and after. You would be amazed at how many people do not follow up after a show and even don't follow up with the drawing results. That's another opportunity for a touchpoint, hype the drawing, video the drawing and even make a Facebook live video announcing the winner. It doesn't take a lot of money, just a lot of good planning aligned with your business goals.

It all depends, the value is in matching the industry to the right call center type and location. If you have a legal call center, it's important they are knowledgeable and keep in mind, better agents cost more money. If its technical customer service, they need to be able to clearly communicate and run through issues easily without a language barrier. Honestly, this can be said for any call center, regardless of industry. It costs more money to acquire a new client than maintain existing clients, as such, think about what you lose by having a call center that is inefficient or unable to provide proper service to your clients. Always take the cost-benefit ratio into account, what do you lose or gain by using a call center and do the short and long term goals align with an outsourced call center?

Usually, its mobile devices, so the best route for 'minimal' dollars is very targeted PPC. If you want specific instruction or assistance with this, let me know I would be glad to have a brief call with you. In the interim, retargeting ads using lookalike audiences in FaceBook could be extremely beneficial to your restaurant. Also, Instagram ads of specials you have going on, or even push the loyalty program in an ad.
I agree with Nathan. Photos are of the most import in property, regardless of whether commercial or otherwise. If you can do a 360 video of the space and even provide suggestions for use and layout in images/video (as an example, show use as a medical facility, daycare, etc.), you will be way...

I agree with Nathan. Photos are of the most import in property, regardless of whether commercial or otherwise. If you can do a 360 video of the space and even provide suggestions for use and layout in images/video (as an example, show use as a medical facility, daycare, etc.), you will be way ahead of the curve. There is even an app on your phone from Google that will let you create your own 360 videos. I would suggest using a Google verified/certified 360 videographer, but it can be done solo. The easier you make it for a company to envision itself in that space, the more clicks and, in turn, calls you will receive. Reduce any barrier to purchase...what are typical issues users experience in trying to find a commercial property? Answer those pain points/ questions with videos, blogs, images and any other way you can, like social media posts with videos/images of the space or engagement that reduces or eliminates any barrier to purchase.

With social media and FB in particular, there isn't really a line between personal and business. It's there, but so blurred it doesn't seem to be anymore. This is a good thing, allows us to be more personal and true to our story on social media. Authenticity is the key. Why do you do what you do? Why do you love it? We all have a story and its about communicating that story in the most authentic (and entertaining) way possible. When I say entertaining, I mean just not boring. Depending on your personality, you could use gamification, or polls or anything that helps engage the community and starts an open-ended conversation. And, of course, video, video, video. Six-second ad type videos part of a whole series, take a look at some of the YT top bumper ads for inspiration.

Most important is to have a full view of each type of marketing you are doing and have them align, so no wasted effort and no individual campaigns running without a holistic strategy encompassing your business goals. To directly answer your question, you need to define your goal(s), is it brand awareness? Or, perhaps, you're looking to drive traffic because it's a new online site? Obviously, everyone's ultimate goal is a purchase action, but there are so many touchpoints leading up to that and, depending on where your company is in its lifecycle (and even what industry) will determine what steps you should take next to achieve success. I could suggest geo-fencing Google PPC ads specifically for mobile, but without knowing your goals or where you are in your company/industry lifecycle it's difficult to provide specific tips or actions you could take. If you have some data, find out what product or products have the highest margin and 'sell' the most and I would then focus on creating a campaign targeting these products, including split A/B testing one variable at a time. Run a campaign that includes organic, direct mail (if it makes sense), social media and paid advertising. If its a product that lends itself to a 'show me how to use it' you could do a YouTube video campaign, cross post to social media and even create a series of fun videos if they do well.
That's a little bit of a loaded question. Depends on your industry and target demographic, but you could create an email newsletter and be consistent in posting on social media. Use Facebook boosted posts and be sure to keep up engagement (respond to comments) and turn on automatic responses....

Use Facebook boosted posts and be sure to keep up engagement (respond to comments) and turn on automatic responses. Direct mail still works for some industries, I would use USPS and pick a few zip codes to send postcards where you know your demographic lives, they have a mechanism where it can be done directly through their system via a third party. It's not too expensive.
