I, too, am aiming to get into galleries soon, and had thought about the risks associated with leaving free art on a business's walls. Theft and damage come to mind. Who then pays? I definitely like the point made below regarding providing free art for businesses. Another question-what are art sales like in those restaurants? I would be surprised if there was any. Do they provide proper lighting? Who accepts the payment? Does anyone actually help the potential buyer appreciate the art?

Perhaps the businesses and restaurants could rent the art and insure it. That might be acceptable.
