Most online retailers add the cost in with the item sold then advertise they have free shipping. It is a delicate balance though. You can expect to make large profits if any on the shipping because you will price you item to where it is not competitive. Consumers are smart people. They have figured out about how much shipping should cost for certain things. You could turn this scenario around. I know some retailers that the item they are selling is actually much cheaper than the shipping. So they sell the item at cost but add more to the shipping to make their over all profit. We don't do that here because we do a lot of bulk so it make more since for us to just cover the cost for the shipping.

There is a lot that can happen when dealing with custom specifications so we try our best to be as honest and transparent as possible. If there is something we are doing that could be a problem we bring those situations up with our clients immediately instead of coxing them to give us the order and figuring it out later; only to find that we may not be successful with their project. Promo Planet's view is...... Honesty is the best policy.... There really is no other way to see it. It truly helps keep our reputation in check and forms a stronger bond with our audience and clients.

I am not sure what industry you are in but we have products, you just need to create the venue for distribution, whether trade show, sidewalk sale, whatever. Promotional products build loyalty. If you have any doubt Google it. Not just trying to be a sales person here. I want to see you succeed. I want that high level of success not only for my clients but for my competition. In the end it benefits all of us as a nation. Check the data. You have to get the exposure and promotional products and apparel gifts like tees and caps will do just that. Customers go out their way to refer you and buy from you when you give them a promotional product. If you have a project need let us know. www.MyPromoPlanet.com

(more) I bring value to my clients who are sourcing their apparel from conception to completion. We have cleints that have shopify stores where they sell their own line and we produce all the goods. Being on this side of the industry for over 18 years now I have seen quite a bit but still have even more to learn. The important thing to remember about starting a clothing line or being on the seller end is not to get emotionally attached to your designs. What you think may work, may flop, and what you think will flop, may be a huge success. So you have to test your market. I bring value to the conversation by sharing very relevant knowledge about the various print processes, fabrics to choose from, and a myriad of other solution based support to insure their success. I stay open minded to their wants and desires, but I also know when to be frank, and illustrate with previous encounters of past experience why they should or should not go down that particular path. There are so many different variables involved. Every customer is as unique as the designs and ideas they have, so simply being open minded, and being a partner rather than a salesperson, is the most vital component to any businesses success.
