I'm grateful to work for a company (iTrees.com) that gives back and does so much not only for their own community but for all of the communities that they serve.
I am grateful for life - just to be living. I spent the past year and a half fighting my 4th cancer diagnosis. My first was in 1997 followed by two more in 2003 and another in 2017. I am grateful for the excellent insurance I have and most of all for the kind and effective folks who work at the cancer center where I received most of my treatments. Yes, it was hard and painful but I am left with a longer life than I started the treatments with. My Doctors are excellent and very smart, very up to date on treatments and they took the time to explain things to me so I was more comfortable with the process.
The process of creating the beanies felt very creative and was satisfying. Hard as it is to imagine.... but, I would go through it all again if faced with another tumor. I managed to keep working from home and got my website up and running (though it still requires some tweaking... I will get that accomplished). My site is based on my earlier treatments of chemotherapy. It was very hard to find fun, fashionable beanie hats so I made some through an online source. They turned out so well that I decided to offer them on an e-commerce shop at www.funwithchemo.com . I also offer items that are needed for chemo treatment days.
I Thank God everyday for his Blessings and thankful for my family.
My Family. Honestly. After a motorcycle accident in 2016 that nearly killed me, and gave me way too many medical issues, I am so grateful to be alive! Also, I have been rewarded by God with my 99 year old father who is just amazing! He is so great, it's crazy - he is lucid, has an incredible memory and is blessed, as I am with great health. After losing my mother to cancer in 1960 - and hating God and religion for it, I learned this past January, sitting and talking to Peter, my dad (I am re-Pete!), I realized how blessed I am - to have survived the accident (yep, my dad got me hooked on motorcycles!) and then to have the time to spend with my dad talking and enjoying Christmas and New Years - well, it dawned on me that I am no longer angry. Do I miss my mother? Yes, every day since I have been 8 years old! My dad was able to find another fantastic woman, Bonnie, who passed away last year. She and Peter had such a blast - except for her health problems. Regardless, he was blessed yet again, as we were (me and my sisters). Now dad spends time between Newport Beach, CA and Gig Harbor, WA.
It is such an incredible blessing for him to be here with us / with me. I cannot thank God more - and i can now relax - I am no longer mad as I was as a child for all this time! Thank you, God for keeping my dad here with all of us. I am blessed beyond my expectations. It took 58 years for me to get over losing my mother. Thanks to God the weight of anger is gone because my incredible father is here!!
I have asthma. The Lord took me to Phoenix July 17, 2018 which I thought odd as I am terrible in the heat. But 6 days later the Carr Fire started. The Gorge Fire came within 3 miles of where I would have been. The air was so bad I knew I couldn't return. The Delta Fire started. The Lord opened an incredible door to stay in Las Vegas very inexpensively. After that Lake Tahoe. Who know the Camp Fire was going to start in Paradise? Even though airnow.gov said the air was good in Tahoe, the smell was bad, full of dangerous chemicals of things that burned. I had to stay indoors. God has kept me for an extended time outside of air dangerous to me. In one sense I don't have to take care of myself, he takes care of me. I don't live anywhere, I just keep moving with my little car. On Alignable I have an address but I am rarely there. I just keep moving.
My wife and I have a mission of bringing information out to folks about LegalShield and IDShield. We feel gratitude each time somebody is clicking on a link, checking information we are sending out, or attending an overview online.
