Do you know that infants could need to be adjusted, too?

Infants need to be adjusted when:
- They have bowel issues (constipation, diarrhea, reflux or gassy)
- They have problems nursing
- They can't turn to one side or they are leaning to one side
- They are extremely fussy and seem uncomfortable
If your child has any of these issues, give us a call, we can help!

Yes, of course infants need to be adjusted.  And they respond great!  Very specific, super gentle adjustments are used on infants and can benefit them tremendously. Benefits the parents, as well, when that colicky baby finally quiets down and lets them sleep!  The birth process is the very first trauma to the spine; get your baby checked so their spine and nervous system can function at 100% and they can be as healthy as possible.

Yes I did know that. The problems you describe above are often resolved with a gentle, painless adjustment to take pressure off of the nervous system that often results from the arduous birthing process. It is very common for a lot of traction to be applied to the young neck and spine of an infant in the process of a obstetrician's efforts to facilitate delivery. This can easily result in misalignment of the skull on the first vertebra or lower, or even arm/shoulder areas. Take your newborn to your chiropractor at the earliest opportunity.

You may be right but if I were a mechanic your car would need fixing. If I were a dentist your teeth would need fixing. If I were a web designer your website would need fixing. You can't do everything at once and believe it all to be true. We only see what we are trained to see so the average person is inundated with "this needs fixing" you are bad if you don't. I used to go to  chiropractors years ago and my back got worse. It would go out every 3 months. Since I've quit my back feels pretty good and I haven't had a "Backout" in years.... You may have a place to fix something but an infant who can't talk isn't one of them.... Sorry....

Absolutely infants can and should be adjusted.  The birth process can be difficult for the infant to get out of the birth canal and if the gynecologist pulls or tugs on the infant, it can cause even more problems.  The newborn nervous system provides the framework for health and wellness.  Having a chiropractor evaluate and adjust an infant as needed can help the infant develop and grow into a healthy child.

When you consider the amount of tension that is introduced during traditional delivery, it should not be a surprise that an infant would experience significant spinal mis-alignment. Very gentle , very specific chiropractic adjustments can definately address these issues.

I literally was in the room when each of my 3 children were born. The first thing I did when I held each of them was to kiss them then checked their sine and adjusted if needed !!! Was it successful ? Ask them , all three highly successful , and my oldest daughter is also a Doctor of Chiropractic. We utilized Chiropractic as always our first line of health care.

Agree with all of the above. Many of us, including me, have seen all of the above. I had a severe birth trauma little girl in office with severe constipation to the extent of being toxic. The adjustments helped her become more regular with the stimulation of the parasympathetic nervous system. Personally, my son, who had a natural birth had a problem with latching and nursing. Chiropractic cranial and upper cervical adjustments allowed him to latch (PT and 2 Lactation consultant did fail) and nurse. Babies have a lot of physical trauma, more than we realize coming through the birth canal and out into the world. Adjustments are very gentle and children do tend to respond positively well.

Absolutely, everyone should have their infant checked as soon as possible after the baby is born.  Child birth for both mother and child can make changes to the spine that can last throughout a lifetime.  We check mom with baby when they come in.  If your a mom, get your kids checked!  But don't negate yourself!

Also, statistically those infants born in a hospital have a 1 in 3 change of being born via c-section, and therefore should be adjusted. Furthermore, immune problems / allergies, because the nerve system controls and coordinates the immune response. Our goal is always to remove interference to the nerve system, and never treat symptoms or disease. We always want to free up what regulates and heals - nerve system.

Yes infants deserve to have their spine checked.
