Hey Jeannine! I'd add to this lineup a few potential partners in your search: realtors, day care centers, private schools, college prep service providers, summer camps, yoga studios and other retail outlets targeted at moms and families. Creating strategic relationships with these types of businesses and doing workshops for their customers might be a cool way in to their lives. Additionally, someone mentioned targeting Facebook would be a possibility. Along with that, developing a video about you and your story as a practitioner would prove killer as you can immediately begin building trust and emotional connection through that medium with speed and power. Godspeed!

I’d pick up a local events magazine or google what events are happening in your area. Then go to those events consistently. You’ll begin to see regular faces there. Daily “Mom/Dad & me” gatherings where families come together for learning & socialization are often help at local libraries, music centers and other educational areas. I would also recommend that you consider volunteering at some of these events a few hours a week so that you can begin to build a relationship with the families. All of this together will definitely help you build your reputation, brand and business. Best of luck!

Most of us are looking for that group because they have more to protect but they are all around us.

Check out your local next door. This will connect you with neighbors in your area per zip code. I found this a good way to meet families and stay informed in your area.

how about checking with Welcome Wagon for client list, and  provide coupon or voucher for services to be sent to these clients.

Radio stations usually have target demographics of who their listeners are broken down by age, income range, and whether they are likely to have children or not.  If you have an area radio group who offer more than one station sitting down with one of their sales reps might be a good start.  Then there are direct mailing companies that can do mailings to specific demographics.  Certain neighborhoods are more likely to have your ideal customer than others. You can also use social media and post articles that would be relevant to that group and also tying with what you do. Posting regularly but not too over the top, will keep you at the forward thought process of those desired individuals when they need your expertise.

Facebook ads and retargeting are great for this.

Sorry, but that is not a demographic, that's a mass of people.
And if you try to talk to them all the same way, you won't get any farther than all the stupid State Farm auto-mailed garbage I get every month. The exact same letters from different agents auto-mailed by headquarters. And none of them have a clue about me, how to write to me, or how to get my attention. (At least they are keeping printers and the mail delivery people going...)

Think about it: Would you really have the same conversation with a 25 year old single mom, a 50 year old professional guy, and a 64 year old couple? If you think you will, you are no fun to have at a party!

Adding to that age issue is 'have an income'. You don't talk to someone making minimum wage, or some making $75K,  the same as a retired couple with 5 million put away.
Finally, 'home owners' is everyone from the 25 year old in their first home mortgaged to the hilt to the retirees in their paid up property.

The point is this: Even if you got a list (easily done), your net is too wide.

Unless you have money to waste, you need to get more specific to get better results.

Good morning Jeannine, I have the capabilities of targeting this audience. What is the geography you are looking for this audience? Specific zipcodes, county, state, nationally? Get back to me when you can and we will run counts at no cost for you and send you a report.

Get back to me when you can.

The demographic that you are targeting could fit those in the grade-school education network. Think about ways you can connect with teachers, schools, students, and parents of those students. Find events where you can socialize with them eventually leading to conversations on how the services you provide can help them (and maybe find ways on how they can help you). Trust and connections are strongest when it's a win-win. Hope that helps!
