I have taken clients into a property where the owner was baking Cinnamon coffee cake, and the clients didn't want to leave the property. They kept on saying that it reminded them of when their Mothers baked at home. They would come home from School and couldn't wait to eat a piece of that cake. By the way, they BOUGHT that house !
Summer? Fresh air

Winter? Baking cookies

All the time? No strong odors or scents, no old cooking odors

Biggest killers? Smell of pet odors, urine, stale air, socks, laundry, moth balls

Nothing. I would prefer it to smell like clean, circulating sir. No chemicals, no cookies, no oils. The absence of a smell is comforting really. One less sense on overdrive as you deeply analyze the space with your eyes, ears, and hands.
It would smell like... New.  I love doing a complete rehab on a house and getting the smell of new paint and new carpet.
The house of my dreams would smell pet and smoke FREE.  Having been a personal chef for nearly 15 years, my clients overwhelmingly loved the scent of lemon, cinnamon, and vanilla most of all.
Well, I  think a fresh scent with a whisper of pine scent, naturally as the trees are around the house. Sights, sounds and scents are all important in my house of my dreams. Also, it would be nice if the neighbors were receptive to meeting new folk in the neighborhood. Currently our neighbors are very nice, however nobody ever goes beyond a friendly wave..I am from California and usually there is an inviate for BBQ or coffee or just a walk in the neighborhood. Guess it's just an AZ thing, not bad, just different:)
