Know well the mission of the businesses you represent. Celebrate their uniqueness, as this is the driving force. Always be aware that concerns or even failures are part of the path to attain the goal.

In our experience, #'s 1 + 3 are valuable - as it gives the client the feeling that there is someone who genuinely wants them to succeed (#1) and also helps them feel as though there is a path out of whatever difficulties they are facing (#3). The remaining items however would do a disservice to our client. They look to us to be experts in our field and not simply be there to comfort them and tell them they are doing a great job. Leadership is not telling someone what they want to hear, but what they need to hear.
