From a completely visual standpoint, change all the pink areas of a color to a color selected from your logo.

Hi John,

Your site will benefit from setting up a pixel. If you do any facebook advertising, you can simply drive traffic to your site pretty cheaply, then you can remarket to them for pennies on the dollar. Then, you can take advantage of FB and let them go out and find people who have a similar profile of those who already visited your site. It's a good, fairly cheap way, to generate some sales initially while your SEO and organic rankings take hold.

From the responses that I see, a whole lot of graphics folks responded, some input from the wordsmiths, a couple of architectural suggestions.  Which leads me to believe that you need a full re-do.

I have a saying on my website:

This sounds like that kind of situation.  You as the amateur asks the professional for input.

My suggestion: Let a professional team take on your website.  Go sell something to pay for it.  If, as you've already seen, you can't figure out who to do what, then let me help.  I have over 27 years in the industry including managing the folks that you need to do the job. xxx-xxx-xxxx

Hi John,

I'm reading this from the home page:

"We Strive To Make The Marketing Experience Easier On You. By Removing The Obstacles To Finding The Right Printing & Promotional Products To Fill Your Needs. Please Let Us Know If You Find The Navigation Through This Site Hard To Use."

If one of the company's values is to remove obstacles, then the website is incongruent with the values. What are the company's values, mission? This in itself would give clear direction on how to present the website. While the company may very well be the best company to work with and may very well put the client at ease with the process I don't see how that comes across on the website. The website has disjointed type, strong brash colors, incongruent layouts and buttons from page to page. Ideally, a company's products and services can best be demonstrated in how the company markets, so when someone visits the website, there would be no question that this business is the one I want to work with. Right now, as the website stands, it raises a lot of questions. Let me know if you would like to connect. Thank you.

Every place it says click me or click her or anything with click, get rid of it. First of all people don't usually click anymore, second of all it's not a good call to action, nobody has any idea what they're clicking here for if they didn't read the heading it's under. The button should explain exactly what they're going to get.

Visually it's too much text. Too much reading. I don't see any strong calls to action either. Very confusing what you want visitors to do. Pick one thing and drive them towards that.

Just a quick breakdown of my initial thoughts. If you want more feel free to get in touch.

Hello John,

It is a very nice looking "Online Brochure" if that is what you are seeking to present?  It follows a traditional idea and it sits on the computer screen looking back at you.  Are you wanting to use it as a tool to grow your business then it is good that you know that it is a work in progress.  There is nothing wrong with displaying good information but in order to turn it into a tool for selling, I am suggesting you add a Sales Funnel to it or even replace it with a Sales Funnel.  Check out my profile page for further FREE information and additional FREE training.

John,

The pink/black color scheme is very striking and certainly catches your attention.  I would recommend a reimaging of your logo - perhaps in all white so that it is as striking and blends well with the pink/black.  I would also recommend reorganizing & reprioritizing the "sections".  I would think that on your home page you would put the promotional products above the fold (i.e. very close to the top of the home page) where that is the first thing visitors see - because that is the source of your revenue.  So the "GET IN TOUCH" section, while important, is not as important as catching the attention of you potential customers.  Your call to action structure should be: 1) catch their attention with product images & or sale events THEN 2) let them know how to get in touch with you.  I would also recommend restructuring you navigation menu - prioritizing it in the order in which your customer conversion steps should occur.  All in all, you have a very good start and with a few tweaks will present nicely.  If you would like to discuss some SEO support, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Hi There,
I realize it's still a work in progress. It looks a little rough still. Even changing up the Wordpress theme to something more dynamic with a bit more design in mind to it would be better. When I go to http://jaxpress.com/upload-fil... I lose the navigation menu. Another competitor in the same area to look at is https://www.trendoffset.com.  Hope this helps!

A lot of good advice has been offered already. I have to agree that you really need to work on the user friendly aspect of your website and create a site and brand that is consistent. It is important to remember that searching in Google is how new customers find your site but if your site does not convert them into customers then it does not matter how much traffic you get to the site if people leave without ordering. There are many steps you can take but if you are not going to hire a professional deign company the first change I would make is your navigation. Get it consistent on all pages and fix all the mobile errors.

What is your bounce rate right now?

If you have visitors coming to your site and leaving quickly that will be something that hurts your SEO but it also sheds light on if your website is effective or not. I am used to ordering from sites like nextdayflyers.com which is very user friendly with great prices and quick delivery. It allows me to save my info and order quickly on repeat visits. This is the type of site you need in order to compete in this niche or you have to find a different angle on why people will want to order from you as opposed to your competition.

It is also true that reputable SEO companies will not work by the hour because they know what it will take to get you the results you need and realistically it takes months of consistent work to rank a website. We have had clients rank in the first month in low competition niches but that is rare.

Also you need to do some competition research. Important questions to ask are:

Who do you think are your top 3 competitors?
What are the phrases your think people are searching to find companies that do what you do?

After coming up with a list of those phrases someone who knows how to do keyphrase research should find all the phrases related to your niche, how many times they were searched in previous months, and the competition level to see which phrases will be the best to go after based on the current strength of your site and the strength of your competitors.

I would venture to say your biggest competitors are companies in the national market like Next Day Flyers, Vista Print, Overnight Prints etc. Many people simply order online now and don't look for a local printer. The competition is extremely high in the national printing market and you would need to offer a similar lineup of services along with having a very user friendly website in order to compete.

You best shot is to focus on the local market but you will still need a very user friendly website with a very high converting design. You will need a professional designer to accomplish this or if you are unable to afford a professional designer then take some notes on the sites you like that are easy to navigate and easy to order from and craft your site in a similar fashion. The first step as I mentioned earlier will be keeping all your navigation consistent. Also give a call to action up front. What do you want the visitor to do and make that easy for them to find off the bat.  Also you should work on your branding and really highlight what makes you different than your competition ... why should people choose to use your services over anyone else.

Next you will need to have someone that really knows SEO target your site to some phrases that get good traffic but also phrases that you can realistically capture. The strength of your current site is not good. You have a TF 0 (that's a 0 out of 100) and a CF of 11 which basically means you have some links pointing to your site but they are low quality and not going to help you rank and you have not established trust or authority with Google.

It is important to have high quality links pointing to your site in your niche. Google is all about quality over quantity and getting a bunch of low quality links in an unrelated niche will only hurt your ability to rank. Also starting out it will do you no good to go after a really high competition phrase if it takes you a year and a half or more spending a bunch of money to start to get traffic to the site. Some SEO's will take on a client for $400 per month when they know that they would need to spend $1000 per month to capture the traffic they want to go after ... but they don't want to turn down money so they take the client anyway. This ends with the client getting disappointed and thinking SEO doesn't work or they got ripped off. If you decide to get an SEO company to help you out watch out for that.

We will turn away a client if we know that their budget will not get the results they want in the niche and competition level they are in because we prefer to keep a 100% success rate as each new client puts our reputation on the line and referrals from businesses we have helped is the main way we get new clients. A real SEO company will be able to show you actual results and also give it to you straight. If they tell you anything other than you are in a competitive niche with a site that needs a ton of work and from an SEO standpoint you are starting from nothing then don't trust them because in just a quick glance that is where you are at. With that said you are not in a hopeless place. There is simply a lot of work to do but you can get there.

Instead of going after the high competition phrases you should target local long tail phrases like:

"printing companies jacksonville fl" which currently gets 170 searches a month.

This phrase does not get 9,900 searches a month like the phrase "printing companies" gets but getting in front of 170 new customers each month would still be good traffic and there are many more long tail type of phrases that are medium to low competition that each get between 30 to 200 searches a month. When you combine many phrases together it can turn out to be quite a bit of traffic. You will be able to capture these type of phrases much soon and then as your ROI increases you can up your budget spent on SEO and go after the national phrases eventually..

None of that will matter unless you have a really clean, simple, easy to use site and a great quality product with excellent customer support. Hope this helps.

Also for the record we capture super high competition phrases with wordpress sites, with Joomla sites, with html sites. As long as the sites are built properly they can rank great ... so it is not an issue in terms of which cms your site uses. There is a lot of old information out there related to SEO as well so don't trust information from someone that can't show you results and only talks theory. There is a lot of that out there. Make an SEO company show you real results before you hire them. Many people are trying to rank sites today using a strategy that worked several years ago but no longer is relevant.
