I took the time to read the answers to this wonderful question. My turn. I know the risks of owning cryptocurrencies. I realize the negativity surrounding cryptocurrencies. In doing my due deligience, I can say this most heartedly. I'll take cryptocurrency before fiat currency any day.

Yes, bitcoin has a bad rap on many levels, but there are a few levels that are positive and will grow stronger. Though it is decentralized and is back by a public ledger that everyone sees, it is here to stay. Other cryptocurrencies are coming up the grade. One being Ethereum(Ether). In a way I'm a geek, and I like the idea of the possibilities of writing script on Ether.

Bitcoin is written in C++ and Ethereum in C++, Go, and Rust. Put a little Java in there and I'm happy! I have Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, Gold and Silver. I use Benjamin, Lincoln, Hamilton for some business purposes. Mostly I use bitcoin and will be using Ether for a project I'm doing.

There are still people out there using conterfeit fiat money. There is no way to conterfeit a cryptocurrency. Oh yes, it can be hacked if the windows aren't closed tight, but so can a bank or credit union.

I love it. I have been mining two major crypto's for over half a year and it's changed my life. The long term impact, I believe, will be the transformation of how people see money, how money is 'made', how money is valued, and eventually how people see banks and governments. Exciting times ahead, and looking forward to more decentralized conversations to come!

Bitcoin and not just a currency it is an accounting system that if you look at it could be used for many things including currency. From a market view you could use it for building controls, product sales tracking, voting, it has the same problems that system created by men have, once people become use to it and understand its operations there are always those individuals that will exploit a system's weaknesses staying ahead of them is the systems job. How much counterfeit USD do you actually think there is in the system? Bitcoin is not the only system being introduced as a possible international currency alternative to the dollar, but being eletronic it dose have other uses.

I wish I bought them when they came out!

  • If you bought $100 worth of bitcoin on May 22, 2010, you'd be sitting on around $72.9 million today. Now is still an excellent time to buy. It is just getting started.

good investment for the future. Greatest time to start investing! We are right now in the middle of the crypto boom where Bitcoin and many others are getting popular in my opinion. Message me for more details.
