I would take just about any job for the sake for getting my name out there. When you get your name out there, and you develop a good reputation with the other jobs, then the bigger jobs with the bigger bucks will start coming to you.
Just focus on the quality of your work and your company, no matter how big or small the job is.

This is one of those questions that could be answered by 10 different people and you would have 10 different answers. Part of it would have to do with the type of business. I chose to open my own studio and take on clients under my own umbrella, to gain autonomy and share what I really felt was of value to people. In the box has never suited me. Even knowing this at first there were times that I felt I should just stick to the idea that saying yes to everything would provide opportunity. In some regards it did, but it also depleted my energy and enthusiasm which is not helpful when you DO find the clients you want to work with. Because of this I started comfortably saying no to those who were not willing to commit or expecting that they should pay less or be able to try services for free. Doing that gave me energy back and opened up schedule time for referrals. I don't want to work with people who aren't committed to their health and wellbeing. I only accept those who are looking at a long term shift in their lives than a quick momentary fix. There are enough gimmicks out there to satisfy that. Because the people I work with now see such large changes in their health and happiness they then become my best advertising and I have more joy because of it. Having said that I will still happily accept requests for time. Sharing my knowledge and skill with those who have no ability to access holistic help is a gift I get to share by having clients who pay enough that I have freed up time for everything I care about. It is a win, win, win situation. Hope your hearts are all feeling expansive this Valentines.

I take every job in an effort to network and get my product out there. You can always make it a valuable experience by taking great photos of the dessert and I think practice makes perfect so why not? I always like to take advantage of the extras left over from small jobs to give to people I see regularly (I.e bank teller, chiropractor, etc.- it’s good advertising and always makes their day).
Take the jobs that have growth and learning potential, networking opportunities, and will offer you a chance to better your craft, regardless of money. Be open to learning what not to do, as well as what to do... they are equally valuable.
