Maybe it's my age, but I prefer the YouTube video, I can watch it while I do other menial things. But, it's good to have a blog if you have step-by-step instructions you want us to follow up on.
I like a mix of both. Reading is much faster. But sometimes, a short video to demonstrate something also works better. E.g., like reading the general summary and then the video do the actual technical demonstration.
