Would you rather read a blog about improving your sales/customer retention or watch a video on YouTube?

Hi Mor

It's great you are considering one over the other. I personally recommend both- plus having an audio, too.

Why? Because people are generally one of three learning types. There are visuals, those who learn primary by watching, audibles, those who learn primary by listening, and kinestetics, those who are emotionally based combination and are moved mostly by emotion.

While most people have some of each of the characteristics, it never hurts to appeal to as many learning styles as possible.

Blogs alone only appeal to those who read well. Videos personally drive me crazy because they take too long. Love podcasts, though. (Can you tell I am an audible?)

So why not offer all three? Videos are easy to make, and blogs can be written for the script or vice versa- use the script for a blog!

Mark

Read the blog. Most videos are boring and take too long to impart the information I'm interested in. Reading takes 1/10th the time.

I do neither. A blog would be better than a video which is no different than attorney adds on TV.

Blog. I can read faster than the speaker can talk and I can't waste my time that way.

Thanks everyone for the responses. WOW, I noticed a lot of "read" responses VS videos. Interesting, do you think it has to do with a certain demographic? I personally like videos. Blogs have a lot of "fluff" in my opinion as well as broad descriptions VS practical "how to's." Do you feel the same way?

I concur with the previous answers - I prefer to read a blog than watch the same material on YouTube.
