What closing gifts do you give? And, why?

To be honest I have never heard of a "closing gift". A lot of properties I have worked at will leave a "Welcome Home" gift in the unit so they have it in their home when they move in which depending on the budget of the property will consist of a basket with handy things such as toilet paper, paper towel, a small bottle of dish soap or even a bottle of wine.  Unfortunately, this property is not budgeted for such gifts.  I hope this helped.

I think it all depends on the Client and things they like, from Food platters, Cleaning supply Baskets, Photo Frames, Tea and Coffee sets, etc.

I have given a variety of closing gifts.  A Home Warranty, gift cards, and gift baskets with different items in them that can used for the home are great ideas.

Good question, I usually give a gift certificate to my favorite restaurant or a gift card to Home Depot.

a welcome basket and a subscription service gift.  

Some gifts I have given are a personalized cutting board (something useful and to remember us by), a gift card to Homegoods because I'm sure that would come in handy, or, if they move out of the area, a gift card to a good restaurant near where they will be living.

I have been giving my buyers a Ring doorbell as a closing gift.  It is easy to install and allows them to monitor their property.  Every time someone rings their doorbell I hope they think of their favorite real estate agent.
