We have an SEO professional as well as a professional website and that drives a lot of business our way.  We also post regularly on various social media platforms.  I'm always watching what other companies in my field are doing and we try to emulate what's successful.   It's a full time job in and of itself.

Also, Since there's so much construction in our area new landscape businesses have popped up everywhere so competition has really increased. Staying competitive can be difficult with the rising cost of materials, insurance & Bonding which we then have to pass along to the client in the form of an increased cost on the bid, which can cause us to loose the bid.

A uniform is important for job performance in that it makes the employee accountable. It shows professionalism and makes them aware of their behavior. It also makes them clearly recognizable as someone who should be on the job site.  (more) A uniform is important for job performance in that it makes the employee accountable. Unfortunately you can't not pay the employee but having a serious talk with them and noting in your records is key. If this becomes a pattern then letting the employee go would be prudent. But noting all of the transgressions is key. Honesty is the best policy on all sides of the table.  (more) Unfortunately you can't not pay the employee but having a serious talk with them and noting in your records is key. Requests for Credit card transactions happen very infrequently in our business and the amount of interest would be untenable, this is why we don't accept credit cards.
