Read more "I started reading Arlene Sachitano's Harriet Truman quilting mysteries series years ago with the first book - Quilt as Desired, and am almost through the entire series. What started as a quaint, cosy mystery, has evolved to a community I feel part of. The character development, from one book to the next is complex and I feel like I know these people personally, they are like neighbors and friends. While this is not unusual with other series by good writers, it does put these mysteries on a top tier for me where I become immersed in the characters as real people as opposed to sensing I am viewing them from afar. I don't know what I will do wnen I've read the last of the quilting series. I guess I will have to start with her newer knitting group series even though I am not a knitter. "
