Will you be writing about your experience?
Answered by:
I've crafted a couple of blog posts about my experiences. I don't know if I'll use the overall situation as a basis for a larger writing project, but I do know that the sum of my experiences contributes to everything I write. Overall, my creativity is more stifled at the moment but that could be due to creative burnout that struck me in January more than the situation at hand.

A local to New Bern, NC, indie bookstore is asking local authors to write a 500 story, fiction or non-fiction, about being quarantined. Doesn't have to be this pandemic. So I'm going to write a piece about being quarantined in 1947 just after we'd moved from L.A. to Alexandria, Va. My brothers were at a camp for a couple of weeks and my sister and I were at a strange rowhouse when my sister was diagnosed with polio and put into the children's hospital in DC. So there I was stuck staring out the window. Anyway, start such a project in your neck of the woods. And stay sayfe.
