If you could publish your first piece, what would be the subject?

I guess I would say whatever struck me as interesting or worthwhile. Sometimes I feel compelled, but not always. I painted a series of oil paintings I called "The Invisible Series" to bring homeless people into the public consciousness. More recently I wrote and illustrated children's stories to entertain my daughters while teaching them valuable lessons about life. Presently I am writing fiction novels to spur discourse on the perception of right and wrong using logic and faith; sometimes in tandem, sometimes at odds. Whatever it is, it has to mean something to me. That's what drives me to publish anything.

Inspiring. I have a friend in NY who also works to bring awareness to the homeless; I also had the privilege of helping many who lived under the Pierce elevated and freeway running along the George R. Brown Convention Ctr in Houston (Congress/59), even train-jumpers and prostitutes. A very hard life indeed. God luck with your work, and thank you for Sharing!
