Dentists: Is it necessary for people with dentures to visit? And, Why?
Answered by:
Advances in denture fabrication and new techniques have helped dentists provide more natural-looking and better fitting dentures for patients. Nevertheless, denture wearers do need to be proactive in taking care of their dentures and oral health. Follow-up visits to the dentist are essential to ensure good fit and function of denture prostheses. At least once a year, the overall health of the oral cavity of a denture wearer should be professionally evaluated. Through ongoing evaluation and maintenance, modern dentures can last 10 years or more, before a reline or replacement is required.

Thanks for your answer regarding whether denture wearers should visit a dentist. A few of my friends have dentures. They are not happy with them. Why are so many people unhappy with their dentures?
