Jillian Marina is a seasoned social media and digital marketing expert with over 12 years of experience helping businesses grow online. She owned and operated her first full-service marketing agency for nearly a decade, specializing in Website Design, SEO, and Social Media and Google Ad Words. After a short break from the full-time agency world, she’s now stepped back in with full force through her newest and most purpose-driven venture: Keep Tulsa Local.

(more) I own a marketing agency in Tulsa specializing in website design, SEO and social media. Our business is unique because of complete transparency. We will build websites for anyone, anywhere - but not take on every client for marketing services because if we don't think they're going to get a sufficient ROI by using us I will turn down the contract and give them alternative ideas that may make more sense, or even do trainings. We don't do any type of ticketing system, our cell numbers are literally on our business cards. We are honest to a fault, we stick to our word, and our work is superior which is why if you google "web design tulsa" we'll always come up first. Most importantly, my staff is phenomenal, and they take as much pride in our clients as I do. It really makes the difference.

My answer would have been to hit social media hard, specifically facebook and instagram, doing paid ads on the back end targeted specifically to your demographic so you aren't wasting money putting them in front of people who won't ever become... My answer would have been to hit social media hard, specifically facebook and instagram, doing paid ads on the back end targeted specifically to your demographic so you aren't wasting money putting them in front of people who won't ever become clients. However, the ads that have the highest return on investment would be the ones pointing people in the direction of the website itself. If there is no website, then the funds you spent on the ads are wasted. Therefor my answer would have been a catch 22. Having even just a one page landing page with a little info and a contact form is better than having nothing.

Hit social media hard, and point your ads at your exact demographic so that you aren’t spending unnecessary money showing your ads to people unlikely to become clients. (For instance, do an ad that’ll appeal to women, and have it pointing at women between 30-55 within 20 miles of your location... (For instance, do an ad that’ll appeal to women, and have it pointing at women between 30-55 within 20 miles of your location who are listed as home owners and have searched for roofing repair in the last 30 days for example) - your reach doesn’t need to be sky high as long as it’s targeted and you’ll have a much higher ROI.

Depends on the question that's being answered! But generally it makes more sense to keep the client happy and not risk ruining the relationship... lol, to a point. Extremely. My company is built the way that i'd like to to business with someone else's. Unlike most marketing companies, for instance, we don't have a ticketing system in place. My company is built the way that i'd like to to business with someone else's. Unlike most marketing companies, for instance, we don't have a ticketing system in place. "submit a ticket and someone will reach you in 24 hours" drives me crazy. We legitimately have our cell phone numbers on our business cards. Frankly, most questions that come in take all of a minute to answer, or fix, and having a client stress out for 24 hours prior to that causes a lot of stress that is completely unneeded!

I've tested the waters on the $35.00 ongoing ads for my marketing company and have had great results. I'm sure this will change though, as Facebook's algorithm changes constantly to make it more expensive to work well, lol.
