Too many businesses are forgetting - customers are not an interruption to your work day, they're the reason for your work day!  They don't reach out to you because they don't have anything better to do.  They have a need, don't have time to waste and want to trust that all will be fine.  Be the solution.

We tend to obsess over "raising our own bar." What can we do to move from "good" to "great?" We never want to just get by, or be "good enough" (ouch!) but sometimes the immovable object is the budget. As finances allow, we build and beautify. The core value is making memories for our guests, so that value vets any purchase or direction.   The "proof is in the pudding" as we've had the 2nd best year of our 19 year existence and continue to attract new clients to our peculiarities. While it's counter-culture to focus more on quality than quantity or peace over speed, I see no reason why we shouldn't stay the course.

So often people just don't want to express themselves, much less have a confrontation.  One wouldn't think such - especially when on social media.  The more conservative the culture, the less likely someone will be candid, especially in a professional environment. In seeking feedback and encouraging such transparency, loyalty grows (or at least one's character.) It's also free strategic planning - what do you need to change, eliminate or improve upon to reach your next professional goal? Even if you don't retain a client, you retain a clear conscience.

The creative who doesn't have the pressure to create, the deadline to create within, the atmosphere that doesn't impede and the company that doesn't judge their process will be set up for success (often times, being alone is best!) Regarding inspiration, it can come from anywhere as can depression of the creative impulse.  Creatives must be aware of their environment - weather, lighting, comfortable clothes, even their favorite music in the background can all ignite or diminish the muse.

Sometimes the "question" is more of a direction - such as "tell me about yourself." So much is revealed, especially if you let the applicant speak for a while.
