The best kind of creativity for me is unfettered.  Stress kills creativity (though many creatives will swear "they work better under pressure.") The creative who doesn't have the pressure to create, the deadline to create within, the atmosphere that doesn't impede and the company that doesn't judge their process will be set up for success (often times, being alone is best!)

Regarding inspiration, it can come from anywhere as can depression of the creative impulse.  Creatives must be aware of their environment - weather, lighting, comfortable clothes, even their favorite music in the background can all ignite or diminish the muse.
