Interesting question. Unfortunately it seems to me there is no way to tell until they make some action to actually buy. If that does not happen then chalk it up to "interest" in your art and hope it pays off later. Why do you think they would be interested in your prices if they are not interested in buying? Here's a thought... I am thinking about seeing what the up to date pricing is for art prints comparable to mine in my main market city. I haven't raised mine in a very long time and this market is a long day's drive from here. Perhaps they are trying to see what other artists are charging for similar items in this area. Hope my musings help. Please feel free to follow up with more thoughts/questions.
