As for beer you had the giants of industry Bud, PBR, and some local beer like hull beer. You drank your beer a pretty much that was it. Now there are thousands of craft beer brewery's thru out the US and the world.
As a micro winery we have a wine making facility where clients and their guests can come and their own private label handcrafted wines. We use wine juice kits so we can make wine all year round, not just during harvest. I guest you need to meet your fellow craft beer makers. Entering beer making contest and meeting new people in the industry.Your customers that are really into beer are another way to learn about other Beer Makers in your area they know their names and numbers.

Email is just words, with inflection and intent perceived by the person reading, which is not always correct. Texts are the same. Phone calls are hard, playing tag. When we have things to discuss that are relevant to many, we have a meeting, sometimes with facetime.
