I do not offer incentives for referrals. I reward referrals by ensuring that the referring person's reputation is enhanced and their advice is respected. When my clients refer me to someone, they intend to be helpful. When I satisfy the referral that reflects on my client and raises their credibility. Priceless!

Gift cards are easy to give, it's really not a personal Thank you for referring me.  It's a one size fits all.  If you have sent up a referral program with points or gifts then that is one thing. A Thank you card is nice.. I would still like to see business owners, in this case realtors support a small local business rather than a national one by giving them a gift. Taking them out to lunch, something more thoughtful.

If it is a professional client (ie a builder or designer) we have several ways of rewarding them. From a simple thank you email to a credit to be used on a future job. For homeowner clients who recommend us, I usually just send a thank you email.

clients who refer new buyers are compensated by the company on an affliate basis. First check is as much as $340.

We give them $10 gift cards, just for referring. $50 gift cards for clients that utilize our service.
