I've come to realize that giving is the best way to get anything in equal exchange. I stated offering my services for fund raising with the understanding that in exchange i would be promoting my business and it's been productive. It put me in front of people willing to part with their money and because they are causes i genuinely care about i feel my sincerity comes through. Balance is of course needed, we are after all running a business  but the groups i work with realize this and encourage my tactful self promotion
