Can you give me feedback on my webpage?

Thank you all for your feedback. I am currently working on all issues.

I need your honest feedback once again. Are you willing to take a look?

I launched Dare to Dream Storytelling Club and I am looking for feedback. I'm needing to know what device you used to access my page and if it loaded okay. I am looking for any support you can give me on

I used my desktop and firefox internet browser to open your website, and it works just fine.

Hi Joanna,

Quick comments.

1. The link from Alignable doesn't work too well. Simply clicking on it takes me to the patreon site, not your page. I had to specifically click on the right end of the link to get to your page. or else add DaretoDream to the end of the patreon page once I got there. Neither of these are especially intuitive for people not in the web-design business, but on the other hand, maybe you don't expect your potential customers to reach you through Alignable.

2. Typing Dare to Dream into Google didn't get me anywhere near your page. I suppose that's the difference between having an actual website and a page on someone else's. How will people find you?

3. Since you asked, I'm currently on an iMac computer. The page certainly loaded okay once I got to the right URL.

4. I tried it on my iPad, first using "patreon daretodream" and "patreon/daretodream". I got Google listings of some "dare to dream" pages, but none of them were yours. I had to explicitly type in patreon.com/DaretoDream before I got to your page. On the iPad, the header is compressed, so "Joanna Blackburn is creating..." overlaps "Join Today" (in both portrait and landscape orientations). That was not a problem on the computer. I started the video and it played okay.

5. Perhaps this is more than you wanted to hear, but the page itself looks like a typical LinkedIn page, with three columns of information, which is pretty boring. On LinkedIn and similar platforms, the right-hand column often contains ads or links to other pages, and it took me a minute to realize that your right column actually had stuff from you. Ditto the left column, which, however, I found a bit cryptic. "1 Patron," "$5 per month," and "When I reach 50 patrons I will buy a new recording system for my videos..." doesn't make a lot of sense to me in conjunction with storytelling. Most of the meat is in the center column, and again, I wish your actual message was clearer. Maybe if I'd watched the whole video, I'd understand it better, but I just checked to make sure it actually played.

So to answer your questions, the page mostly loaded okay. But I'd worry about how people would actually find it. And I recommend you do some content editing, so when someone does find it, they immediately get the point. Maybe spend more time explaining what you're hoping to accomplish and less on your pricing.

I do think this is a great idea, and I wish you all success with it.

My best,

Mark Lamprey

Joanna - several suggestions:

Yes, as Charles previously said, you need a new header - too pixelated and the smoke (though cool) does not fit in with the storytelling genre. Just follow the size recommendations that Patreon gives you.

Also - I'd redo your profile pic - your face is too far away and that de-personalizes you to potential contributors.

Unless this is a "coming soon" page - you need to change the text "Joanna Blackburn is creating..." to, simply, "Dare to Dream Storytelling Club."

Finally - this webpage is one within the larger Patreon site. If you really want to ramp-up your biz, I'd create my own website and then have a link to your Patreon page, (i.e. daretodreamstorytellingclub.com or daretodreamstorytelling.com)

I use the Builderall Internet platform for all my online needs - it's pretty incredible for a low monthly fee - http://builderallwebsites.com

Good luck! Give me a shout if you need more help.

It’s good. Clean. I like the combination of movement, video, and static elements. I used Chrome on a Mac and it opened fine. Same on Safari. I would put in there somewhere what makes you different than other platforms.

On first try I goot Patreon.com. I then edited the url by adding "/DareToDream" to look at your site and got a 404 error.

Hi Joanna, I feel your site is not warm and inviting...it looks very regimented..When I think of Dreaming...and Story Telling...I think of creative graphics, backgrounds...characters...something that intrigues the visitor to engage...and sign on.... It took me awhile to load it...Hope this helps
