Do you prefer digital photographs or prints?

Can you imagine only having your wedding photos saved digitally? Photos invoke powerful human emotion and sharing them as prints on a wall or shelf is a shared happy experience. Hiding them away in the cloud is just not a great experience. I smile every single time I walk by the framed photo of my dog sitting in a deck chair with the bay behind her or snuggling with our cat.

I haven't printed family images since the days of film...

I only print for fine art displays. All of my clients (commercial food companies) want the files only.

As a commercial photographer, everything I deliver is digital. My clients are using my photos to sell their products online and in catalogs, so a physical print is not very helpful to them. Everything is delivered as a large, high-res digital file.

However, as consumers my wife and I still use physical prints for our family photos. My wife likes to scrapbook our family vacations and annual activities (birthdays, Halloween, Christmas, etc.) so she uses a lot of prints throughout the year. 

At this time I prefer digital delivery to prints, the reason being until the cost of ink and paper and printer (of better quality) become more cost-effective, digital download is fine. I let my clients know that up front first so there are no hidden fees for extras.

It depends on the usage.  In commercial it is for immediate use but for family event and remembrances I prefer prints that I can use and see all the time with no effort and actually may have a chance of surviving a few generations.  I have prints in every inch of my home.

I love having prints personally. They’re my favorite thing to decorate my home.

I'd have to say both. I love to hang prints on the wall and be able to see them all the time. The biggest thing for digital files is that I love to share them on social media. They are also a backup for when a print accidentally get ruined or lost in a move.
