I continue to say my business is blessed and highly favored and my business continues to be blessed.
My business has been roughly cut in half
Fuel and food prices are way up, unions are demanding higher wages, and the inflation is getting cooked into the books. Prices will go down somewhat if the following happens: this country is allowed to open up its great gas and oil fields, and lower the tax rate for manufacturers to remain here and manufacture something.
We are in a major recession that I’m fearful we will never recover with so much money being printed
Overall this economy is killing me. Everything from gas to food has risen so considerably that my business is taking a beating. It is unfortunate but because a large portion of my target audience (senior fitness) is on a fixed income my services will be first on the list to eliminate when a senior citizen is looking to cut living expenses.
Our firm specializes in credit restoration and debt management. As an industry, I'm finding that people don't have the extra income to be pay their bills, or to make a commitment to be able to make scheduled monthly payments, because of the increased cost of living.
This is like waiting to get hung. May all the people that voted personality over policy get it first.
Well I paid $9 for a stick of deodorant yesterday.
I am in the real estate (mortgage) business and see there are lots of buyers still as home prices are better vs couple of months back. So it’s a very good opportunity for home buyers (including investors), however these interest rates are a big impediment to homebuyers . The qualifying rate is very high, which does not help in clients qualifying for the mortgage amount they need. We need these rates to come down or higher amortization in order to help clients accomplish their dream of home ownership.
Increasing rates has not helped in curbing inflation so far. Not sure why Bank of Canada is blindly following feds to increase prime rate. We need to have our own monetary policy and not what they do in US.
The Fed is about to kick the can. We will not recover until we eliminate them. As long as we are in debt for every dollar printed before it is ever circulated we are locked in a slave economic system. This krap system will continue to crank down on us until there is no middle-class remaining.
I intend to thrive in times of crisis because I know Christ and some of the strongest brands we know today were launched in economic downturns.
However majority of the world is in the throes of the worse economic crisis this planet has ever witnessed and unfortunately this is only the beginning.
So it is deeply insulting when talking-heads insinuate that some sort of economic turnaround is anywhere in sight in the near future as opposed to helping people prepare to witness the inevitable breakdown of the financial system.
