In the movie business we say, “Show, don’t tell.” I’ve been creating content for companies over 10 years now and the one thing that hasn't changed is the fact that video content generates leads. People want to see what and who they are working with but they dont want to be sold to. If you can inspire them and create an emotional connection to your brand or service, they will come to you. Your business is specialized and this type of ‘pull’ marketing would lend itself perfectly to your line of work.

I assume you've done your market research, but are you sure you want to exclude children? Parents seem to be investing heavily into things just like this for their young children and offering group sessions at a lower individual rate would allow you to quickly raise awareness in your community while establishing relationships with the adult parents. Join the relevant professional organizations that link visitors to your practice. Consider an organization like BNI if you don't have a strong network. Good luck!

My recommendation is to sit down with a consultant who will go through an in depth discovery with you.  We utilize a combination of print, packaging, and promotional items with a clear message and call to action that is targeted.  Look at who you want as a client, specifically looking at location, income, interests and more.  I'd be happy to discuss further with you if you're interested.

What is music therapy, I feel you have to educate the public on what it is. Perhaps Mr. website which explains more, and even better possibly do some PR stuff to get the message out what exactly it is. For example for my clients i use press releases, Specifically local target pressure leases that help brand and ultimately funnel people to the website. I hope that helps if you need  any advice let me know.

Be active on social. Post multiple times a day and add value. Provide information and just give. This will help position you as a leader in your field and build credibility. Start a Youtube channel and show what you do. Start a podcast about music therapy. I also would recommend visiting local music stores and introducing yourself to the owner. Let them know you may send them customers (your clients). Connect with local hospitals, senior care centers, rehab facilities, veterans organizations, non-profits, etc. Since you are focusing on adults, look for opportunities to connect with groups that serve adults with special needs. Volunteer in your community and get involved so you can get to know people, and they can learn about you and what you do. This is a lot, I know, but it is pretty much all free for you to do. The cost will be your time, but it will pay off. Intent matters, so just do great work and stay the course. Best of luck to you!

I am in private practice. I get most of my referrals third psychologytoday.com and insurance company. I’ve also gone to government agencies and law firms to introfuce myself and my services. Every few months I throw a networking party with other therapist to get to know who’s in my area.

I would connect with other local businesses that your target market connects with so that you can build a network of professionals that can refer and support one another. This benefits you and it benefits your clients, too. Another idea is to tell your story online via social media so that people can learn the why behind your business and discover more about what makes you unique in the marketplace.
