Even if I had a recommendation, or great results, it wouldn't apply to you. Why?
Because online/social are just media- and there is no magic in a media.
The magic is in figuring out who to send your message to (targeting) and how to persuade them to take action (messaging).
So, even if I made millions on, say, Facebook, that isn't an indicator of how your product or service, with your ideal prospects, your marketing and advertising experience, and your budget will do.
I was on the phone a few months back with a business that spent ONE MILLION DOLLARS a month on Facebook ads. And they got back $2 Million in returns!
On the other hand, Proctor and Gamble eliminated $100 MILLION from their online budget- and never saw a drop in sales. Guess that money was wasted, huh?
I am about to set up a new web site and expand my presence on twitter and face book as a minimum. I have two novels to be released in the near future and I am doing an experiment with one of them. It is a republished book and I am using a publicist and different publisher than usual, to hopefully get the book notice in a big way. The novel is named "Strange Adventures" and the author is me, Ken Blanton. I am seeking out the best ways to market my publications presently.
I don’t believe this is a one size fits all question. You would need an in depth understanding of the business goals and their consumer behaviors. I’ve had multiple campaigns, same industries, differ completely just based on location. The best way to get the “best results” out of your digital marketing, is finding a marketing professional that knows what’s best for your business by spending time getting to know your needs & goals.
Your own website hard coded is the best way yo can market your business and do business with clients safely. Blog platforms used as websites are not safe and can be costly to keep safe. However if you are not experienced in coding the blog platforms might be for you just remember you will need protection especially when you attach social media as a widget to your website. Social media should never be your website. Branding your business is most important and having a social media brand associated with your business will not get you the goal you are striving for.
Have your own web hosting and domain. This is what how you can market your business. Attach your social media links buttons, widget, box to your website for streaming purposes ... whatever you post in social media you can post through email marketing which is another avenue you can use for free when you have your own web hosting.
Too many businesses promote Facebook, Twitter, and IG simply because they don't have their own web hosting. The best results began with you ... market you ... your business, use social media to get the work out but direct them to your website.
Actively working with social media (posting, tracking, etc.) can be very time-consuming. We opted not to hire an in-house social media/marketing person. Rather we out-sourced the task to Social Ordeals, who also sees that your online information is consistent, routinely adds posts to your social media pages, handles all of our requests for online comments (reviews) and provides detailed monthly reports and routinely updates us concerning various changes or developments online related to our firm. I can't recommend them highly enough. We've found that the best impact is a shot-gun approach, being widely present online. Before hiring this company, we were focusing only on FaceBook and found it difficult to keep up with that alone. Now we are active on FaceBook, LinkedIn, Instagram and others and have seen very positive results.
The question is online media....the "best" are online forums. They can be found by millions of users and you will quickly find out the products strengths and weaknesses. Simply post your product....and as they say a picture is worth a thousand words. Good luck and stay positive.
Moz.com's social ranking factors page (Moz is a trusted leader in marketing data and analytics) has a nice graph that shows "social signals" don't even make up 3% of online traffic to your online presence...
Things like "a backlink profile," (link signals and review signals) and "Google My Business Profile" etc. make up for OVER HALF!
While these might seem foreign to you if you are not an internet marketer, many marketers don't get this right either and will sell you social media services to include posting things on a weekly basis for you across social media platforms.. which in my opinion is a complete waste of your hard earned money!
I think the best return on investment right now in advertising would be through Facebook ads. And while the internet is ever changing Facebook ads are making businesses big time returns and that is not going away for a long time.

I have established a network like a wheel. The hub is core content (web site, blog, books, articles, useful materials). The spokes leading from the hub are the tools to network content that is linked to the hub. Contacts are the engines that power the wheel. Content is the fuel that feeds the social networking contacts and powers the wheel.
As the wheel turns, the quality of the networking improves with feedback and the wheel climbs the optimization hill of the major search engines (SEO).
I Blog, post and contribute to Q&A features on several sites:
1. It allows insight in solving the difficulties of others; always a satisfying achievement, dovetailing with professional endeavors and creating a positive image.
2. The manner in which a response is worded conveys values, expression, opinion, and insight to others who may wish to team, counter with a disagreement or pass on a reference to others; all healthy forms of communication.
3. Ratings features allow evaluation of responses by a large peer group.
4. With the growth of social networking international participation increasing dramatically, it provides insights into perspectives from other nations and cultures; a valuable input in the wired global economy these days.
5. The historical record of questions and answers, posting content and feedback is searched regularly by a large, world-wide community and draws others to profiles and web sites long after the initial dialogue has occurred.
I evaluate other net-workers for consistency. Value the participants who realize these are huge and open forums and who keep an open mind to input. I do not value narrow minded use of these features for exclusively personal or business gain, control freak attitudes, and those who delete replies or answers because they disagree with the responses they are getting or are not getting what they perceive to be desirable results.
The result is a brand, an image and valued content, carefully cultivated, exchanged and viewed regularly with others and communicated for success.
Please see the below link for an example of how the above principles are applied.

So research gets results, not media.
