Do you prefer a client with no knowledge of your product or service and you get to build them up, or do you like a client that has a foundation in your product or service?
I prefer clients who are already inclusive in their business model and want to be proactive in updating their online presence to be more inclusive of 22% of the market they may have been missing out on previously, rather than someone who is coming to me in a panic because they just received notice of a lawsuit being filed against them.
My "business" is a professional studio artist with degree and longevity in the world of fine art. My frustration is how "dumbed down" we have become as a nation in the area of fine arts, art history, et. al. My ideal client is someone who knows and appreciates the fine arts and is NOT looking for something to go with de-core. Artists at my level are seeking exhibition opportunities and art buyers/investors. Over the years, my works have moved well outside of the mainstream. And yes, I have collectors of my works, many of them at corporate level.
I have found artworks done by significant artists in thrift shops and garage sales. I find that sad....that the original owners had no clue what they literally gave away. But my favorite story is I found one of my works at a Good Will store, so I bought it and later resold it for about ten times what I paid. This kind of ignorance is out there, sadly. The good news is the art buyer, art investor is still out there. I am happy to discuss the merits of art and investment of same...if someone is interested.
I prefer the client who has a foundation of my products/ services, because this client can value the services /products that I provide to him and if I get him satisfied with my services or products he will be a good advertising mean for my business because this kind of client can differentiate between the good and bad services /products and can explain this difference to others .
I'd rather have a client that understands why they are contacting me and that they need my services, regardless of how knowledgeable they are about various areas of law. Almost all clients need some level of education, and I want them to know that they are getting what they pay for.
I prefer clients. However some have preconceived ideas of what they need. I prefer those who do not because it allows more room to consider all of the possibilities for helping them.
For my services, I'm looking for professional athletes who needs promotion for themselves. My athlete services is tailored according to athlete needs and goals. We believe in athletes and fulfill their needs accordingly.
I would adapt to either type of client. All I need to know is if they are interested in my product/services. And I can find business who are interested in my products. Call and ask me how. xxx-xxx-xxxx.
The best prospective client is one referred to me by one of my existing clients. They may or may not understand why my product is better but they already trust our company, products and me because their friends that referred them do.
Most of my clients are uneducated about how money works. We come in and educate them and make a million dollar difference in their lives. It's so rewarding knowing that they are taking care of and improving their financial situation.
