What kind of interview questions do you ask applicants?
I am not a fan of the trite interview questions that have been around for 50 years. I feel like people have developed cookie-cutter answers to things like "Where do you see yourself in 5 years?". I'm looking for suggestions on questions to ask that really help you gauge a person's personality, drive, etc. Thank you in advance!

How to plan making the company to earn more profitable, e.g. to contribute
as much as possible to help the needy in our society.
Ask their Why?
Why is it you want to work here?
What is it that motivates you to get up and come to work?
Where do you want to live? Get there before searching for a career.
Tell me how I would manage someone with your capabilities?
Why do you think you would be the best fit for this job?
A good tool is the DISC assessment by Tony Robbins... no run of the mill questions, no canned answers, you will definitely know who you are hiring.
What is a negative characteristic and a positive characteristic you have and how have you used them to your advantage in your career? Someone with experience should be able to turn the negative to a positive.
What is your why?
Tell me a time when you helped someone that could never repay your generosity, a time where you had nothing to gain but you helped anyway for nothing else but kindness.
try asking some non work related questions first like; what kind if things do you enjoy doing when not working and where do some of your most cherished memories come from. Then need to get into what do they expect from a job a career etc.
